THE HANDVÄRK WAY

Aesthetic sustainability is key to all of our products. In an effort to create furniture that will last a lifetime, we have taken no shortcuts. We work with genuine marble, solid brass and leather – materials that will only become more beautiful over time. These materials are worked with care and dedication to embody the simplicity and applicability of our design. Design that above all stays true to the Nordic DNA that imbues HANDVÄRK.

THE DAYBED
A TIMELESS CLASSIC

”A daybed is perhaps the most beautiful piece of furniture, without a real function –  it’s pure purpose is to please the eye. When I created this object, I wanted to design a clean and streamlined piece of furniture that would stand out, but at the same time fit the aesthetics of many modern homes”

CLASSIC MINIMALISM

The Lounge Chair, made in Denmark, was the first chair in HANDVÄRK’s collection. Minimalistic with perfect proportions, yet surprisingly comfortable. This inviting chair is beautiful alone and perfect as a pair. The handmade cushions are meticulously made to order and can be finished in custom leather or fabric.

    FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION

The Globe Series was inspired by the Bauhaus movement, where form follows function and The Globe Series embraces every element in a lighting fixture. Where many other designs go to great lengths to hide the electrical cord, the cords are a piece of the design, adding a much anticipated organic and feminine touch to the black coated steel frame and the balancing mouth blown grey glass globes. As a family of both a chandelier and floor lamp, the Globe Series is a versatile lighting series for both residential and commercial use By Emil Thorup

  • Dark Spine Rug

    MOODY, TACTILE & MYSTERIOUS

Inspired by a heroine of Camilla Stærk; Danish storyteller Karen Blixen, the tales from her life in Kenya during the 1920’s and 30’s and as accounted in her celebrated novels such as ‘Out Of Africa’. The design of The Dark Spine Rug is an interpretation of a spine silhouette. Constructed of Pure New Zealand Wool, the tufted rug is made in Denmark. The design aims to speak to both the masculine and feminine. An enticing addition to the setting it finds itself in and not an overpowering feature; a complementary subtle design. By Camilla Stærk
