Emil Thorup
Emil Thorup, the autodidactic founder of HANDVÄRK FURNITURE and designer of its inaugural collection, draws lifelong inspiration from architecture and aesthetics, particularly the Bauhaus movement. In his designs, he seeks to minimize unnecessary theatrics while preserving a Nordic warmth.
Aleksej Iskos
Aleksej Iskos, born in Ukraine and residing in Copenhagen, Denmark since 1991, is a graduate of The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design. Aleksej values design not only for its practical utility, but also for its ability to convey messages, evoke emotions, and awaken memories — a narrative that resonates deeply with him. To articulate this narrative, the designer merges both practicality and aesthetics, transforming function into poetry.
Laura Bilde
Laura is a freelance designer based in Copenhagen. With a strong grasp on concept, materiality and form, Laura works across both product and interior design. She’s driven by tactility, curiosity and design that can be experienced both on a physical and emotional level.
Ida Rysgaard
Ida began her creative journey in the world of jewelry design, with education in Copenhagen and Los Angeles, honing her skills in precision, aesthetics, and trend forecasting. Transitioning to furniture design, Ida brings a philosophy that emphasizes longevity and lasting value, basing her designs on how the world around her moves and sets new demands for products. The Excel Lounge Table is the result of extensive consumer research, ensuring it meets the practical needs and aesthetic desires of modern consumers.

Their solid understanding of business and a wide array of skills within design, construction, and engineering made them a formidable team from the start. Camilla Stærk
From the Danish countryside, Camilla Stærk pursued her studies in fashion and textiles at Ravensbourne College in London. The sophisticated, dark romance of her women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, accessories, and interiors have earned her the British Fashion Council’s Newgen Award, collaborations with top fashion brands and hotels, multimedia solo art exhibitions, and dedicated collectors from London to Tokyo to the Americas.
